murphy models shirt

Former Oldham full back, chairman of the Oldham Ex players Association and member of the Oldham RLFC Hall of Fame,
Martin Murphy, models the new Rugby Oldham polo shirts.

Bolstered by the success of the red & white hooped jersey launched to mark 50 years since Oldham’s lifted of the 1957 Championship followed by the excellent reception given to the retro “All-White”  shirt worn so proudly by the Roughyeds in three successive Lancashire Cup finals, Rugby Oldham has again hit the Christmas market with a trio of  easy to wear, top quality leisure polo shirts  sporting the crest from the golden years when the famous Watersheddings’ side was known as Oldham Football Club.

The money raised from the sale of the shirts will go towards helping develop rugby league across the borough. In recent years Rugby Oldham has provided trophies and publicity for various Service Area competitions and been the driving force behind the successful Rugby Oldham Challenge which is competed for by the Higginshaw, Hollinwood, Oldham St. Annes, Saddleworth Rangers, Waterhead and Rochdale Cobras clubs. For the last two seasons the Trust has been a major sponsor of the Roughyeds’ Reserve side which is made up predominantly of players under the age of 21.

Manufactured in comfortable, easily maintained polyester/cotton, the shirts are available in red, white or blue in sizes: Kids (36), S (38), M (40), L (42/44), XL (46/48), XXL (50/52).  The price is £15 per shirt and delivery is free throughout Oldham & District. Add £4 otherwise. Call 0161 652 5794, 0161 620 9583 or 01457 875084 to order.  Alternatively visit contacts for e-mail addresses.

The Trust will also be retailing superb red, white and blue striped tie featuring the Rugby Oldham logo. Price £10.
