Welcome to Rugby Oldham

Rugby Oldham - A Rugby League Community Trust is dedicated to help secure the long term future of rugby league at all levels in the town. 

Our Primary aim was initially to develop a dedicated pro-am community rugby league stadium in Oldham. Our members believe that not only is it vital that there is a facility to host rugby league at all levels but also one that offers real community facilities on a wider scale.  

Since the town’s pro club announced its intention to build a stadium itself in early 2007, our focus has moved towards other forms of action on behalf of supporters – though the generation of a RL dedicated ground remans at the forefront of our vision for the game in the town.

We have of course set our sights high and are realistic enough to know that we will face many obstacles before achieving our goals. However, achieve them we will as in our experience something worth fighting for rarely comes easily.

In order to make the Trust a real success we feel strongly that we need to operate in a professional manner, be honest, open and up front - simply that we must do things the right way.  

The real key to our success though is you....by becoming a member, you, your family and friends will give us strength in numbers. That strength will be vital when gaining support - whether seeking grant funding, local authority assistance or help from the RFL.

The monies raised from membership fees are extremely useful in terms of covering our costs but of course would never amount to paying for a new Pro-Am Community RL Stadium, even though they also help towards undertaking other community activities. However, by signing up the whole family you will be giving us a louder, more powerful voice - increase our numbers and our influence grows.  

To demonstrate that we are serious about growing our numbers, we have purposely set our membership fees at a low level (as low as £10) as we desperately don't want to exclude anybody that wants to join our cause. That said, there will be the option to make additional donations - both via the membership form and a PayPal facility which is available on our donations page.
